How to Request a Dental Quote Online article cover image

A useful dental quote abroad is not just a fast price. It should explain what is included, what is assumed and what still needs to be confirmed by the treating dentist.

Dental Treatment is an independent coordination service. We organise the information, help you understand what records are missing and pass the request to the partner clinic in Hungary. Diagnosis, suitability and the final treatment plan remain the responsibility of licensed dentists at that clinic.

Start with one clear message

Write where you are based, what bothers you most and what type of treatment you are considering. You do not need to know the correct dental terminology. A short description such as “I have three missing back teeth” or “my upper crowns are failing” is more useful than guessing a diagnosis.

Include:

  • Your country and city
  • The main problem you want to solve
  • Whether you are considering implants, crowns, veneers or full-arch treatment
  • Any pain, swelling, loose teeth or urgent concerns
  • Your preferred travel period
  • Whether you already have a local treatment plan or quotation

The online quote form collects these essentials without forcing you to use WhatsApp.

Send photos that show the real situation

Phone photos can help the coordination team understand which records the clinic is likely to need next. Use natural light, avoid filters and keep the camera steady.

For a general first review, send:

  • A full smile photograph
  • Upper teeth from the front
  • Lower teeth from the front
  • A right bite photograph
  • A left bite photograph
  • A close-up of the main problem area

Photos cannot show bone volume, nerve position, infection below the gum or the condition of tooth roots. They support the first conversation; they do not replace diagnostics.

Add X-rays or scans when available

A panoramic X-ray can be useful for a preliminary overview of missing teeth, existing implants, crowns and obvious areas that may need further investigation.

For dental implants, bone grafting, sinus lifting or full-arch treatment, the partner clinic will usually need CBCT or other appropriate three-dimensional imaging before a surgical plan can be finalised. Read the dental implant planning guide for Hungary for a clearer explanation of this process.

Do not delay an enquiry simply because you do not yet have a scan. Send what you have and ask what the clinic needs for the next stage.

Include relevant medical context

Mention medication, allergies, smoking, diabetes, blood-thinning medication, previous implant problems and any condition that may affect healing or treatment planning.

Share sensitive information only through the agreed communication channel and avoid posting medical records publicly. Remote information helps the clinic prepare questions, but it does not replace an in-person medical and dental assessment.

Ask for the price to be separated clearly

For implant treatment, ask whether the estimate includes:

  • The implant fixture
  • The abutment
  • The final crown or bridge
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Extractions
  • Temporary teeth
  • Bone grafting or sinus lift if required
  • Medication and review appointments

For crowns and veneers, ask about material, temporary restorations, the number of units, laboratory work and any supporting gum or root canal treatment.

The visible prices on our starting prices page are reference points only. The partner clinic confirms the complete quotation after reviewing the available evidence.

Understand why an estimate may change

Remote planning has limits. Bone volume, infection, gum condition, bite forces, old dental work and the restorability of individual teeth may change what is clinically sensible.

A responsible first estimate should therefore separate three things:

  1. What appears likely from the records supplied.
  2. What still needs diagnostic confirmation.
  3. What could change the treatment scope or price.

Pressure to book flights before these assumptions are clear is a warning sign. Use the dental treatment abroad safety checklist before committing to travel.

What happens after you send the request

Dental Treatment checks whether the enquiry contains enough information for a useful partner-clinic review. We may ask for clearer photographs, an X-ray, a scan or additional context.

The clinic then reviews the available records and provides the clinical direction and preliminary quotation where possible. We coordinate the explanation, appointment options and travel timing around that information.

The final treatment decision is made after the clinic has completed the diagnostics it considers necessary.

A message you can use

Hi Dental Treatment, I am based in [country and city]. I would like help coordinating a preliminary treatment estimate for [main concern]. I am considering [treatment if known] and hope to travel around [month or timeframe]. I can provide [photos, panoramic X-ray, CBCT scan or local treatment plan]. Please let me know what additional information the partner clinic needs.

This is enough to begin without pretending that a remote message is already a diagnosis.

For broader preparation, continue with the international dental tourism checklist and the guide to records you should receive after implant treatment abroad.
